Islamic Society of Midwest’s Interfaith Gathering at Rockford MAGR Mosque
As the Islamic Society of Midwest, we recently had the honor of organizing an enriching interfaith gathering at Rockford MAGR Mosque. This event was a beautiful display of unity and collaboration, with over 250 attendees, including 25+ members from our community. It served as an opportunity for us to come together, strengthen bonds, and share our commitment to service within the larger Chicagoland Muslim community.
The evening was filled with thoughtful conversation and meaningful connections over a shared meal, generously organized by our ISOM volunteers. Brother Imam Ali Yurtsever led a presentation, highlighting the various initiatives we’ve undertaken in Chicago, emphasizing our dedication to supporting and uplifting our communities. His reflections shed light on the collective efforts of ISOM and our commitment to fostering unity and mutual respect.
Additionally, Brother Rıdvan Uysaler shared an example through the Embrace Relief program, presenting a model for community service and outreach that resonated with everyone in attendance. This gathering was a heartfelt reminder of the impact we can make when we come together for a shared purpose. Special thanks go to Brother Emre and all the members who worked tirelessly to ensure the success of this event.
We thank all those who joined us and contributed to making this evening a memorable one. May Allah reward our small efforts with His boundless blessings, and may our bonds continue to grow stronger as we work toward greater unity and understanding within and beyond our communities.
