Cultural & Intrafaith Trip to Houston

We are filled with gratitude and joy as we look back on the successful #HizmetMovement Cultural & Intrafaith Trip to Houston, organized by the Islamic Society of Midwest - ISOM - Chicago (ISOM). This trip was not just about visiting new places but about deepening our understanding of faith, building bridges, and fostering meaningful connections.

Our journey took us to some truly inspiring institutions:

Raindrop Turkish House Houston – A beautiful space for fostering community and interfaith dialogue.

Horizon Academy – Where we witnessed the incredible work being done to educate and empower the next generation.

@North American University – A hub of academic excellence and a testament to the power of education in shaping a better future for all.

We are deeply grateful to our hosts at each of these institutions for their warmth, hospitality, and thoughtful engagement. The connections made, conversations shared, and lessons learned are priceless.

The feedback from our participants, both brothers and sisters, has been overwhelmingly positive. From the enriching visits and insightful discussions to the delicious meals and heartfelt home visits, every moment was filled with generosity and care. The sense of community and brotherhood was palpable, and we could not be more thankful for the opportunity to experience such warmth and hospitality.

We are particularly grateful to the hosts at Raindrop House, Horizon Academy, and North American University for making this trip an unforgettable experience for all involved. The unity and cooperation displayed throughout the trip are truly reflective of the shared values of our faith: peace, respect, and mutual understanding.

This trip was a testament to the power of education, cultural exchange, and intrafaith dialogue in building stronger, more inclusive communities. We look forward to more such opportunities to learn, grow, and strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood within our community.
